About Public Health Everything
Public Health Everything was founded in 2021 by Shannon Belton after the loss of her father to suicide. Motivated to raise awareness around men’s mental health and suicide prevention, Shannon and her husband began by distributing thousands of stickers in his memory, each printed with the suicide hotline number. What started as a grassroots effort quickly grew into an online platform offering products that promote awareness across a range of public health issues, with a strong focus on supporting harm reduction and recovery communities.
After identifying several gaps in access in their community, Shannon and a group of friends decided to start distributing overdose reversal medication, anywhere they could to anyone who needed it.
At their first major event in Berks County, an overdose occurred and was successfully reversed using medication they had distributed onsite. Since then, Public Health Everything has expanded its outreach to events across Colorado, West Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
As the organization grew, corporate and community training became a natural next step. These programs are designed to help workplaces and organizations become safer, more informed, and better equipped to support both employees and the broader community. Topics include stigma reduction, overdose prevention, and crisis response.
In 2025, Public Health Everything officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, allowing for expanded operations and a broader focus on overall health and wellness.
Today, the organization runs a wide range of community-based initiatives. “Take What You Need” boxes are installed in high-need locations such as universities, barbershops, nail salons, bookstores, probation offices, methadone clinics, treatment centers, law firms, domestic violence shelters, and libraries, providing free access to essential supplies.
In Lancaster County, Public Health Everything also maintains multiple Community Pantries and Blessing Boxes, which are restocked weekly with food, hygiene products, harm reduction supplies, and items for new parents and infants. These efforts are rooted in the belief that meeting basic needs is one of the most effective ways to support individuals, reduce hardship, and prevent crimes of necessity.
The organization also provides essential resource packages for individuals transitioning out of institutions, including prisons, jails, rehabilitation centers, halfway houses, and shelters. The goal is to ensure that every person has the opportunity to begin their next chapter with dignity, stability, and support.

Leadership & Governance
Public Health Everything is guided by a diverse and experienced board of directors, bringing together expertise from a range of fields, including live entertainment, treatment and recovery services, and communications, public relations, and finance. This breadth of experience helps the organization operate effectively in both community settings and large-scale events. The organization also includes a Director of Lived Experience, ensuring that the voices, needs, and perspectives of the communities they serve remain at the center of all programs and initiatives.
Impact
We don’t measure success by numbers alone, because the impact of this work goes far beyond what can be counted. Instead, we aim to offer a snapshot of the support and resources we provide, and the communities we continue to serve.
2025:
In 2025, we distributed 2,840 doses of overdose reversal medication, 3,393 drug detection test strips, 1,780 safer sex supplies, 107 hygiene items, 708 menstrual supplies, 92 masks, 750 electrolyte drinks, and 438 pairs of earplugs. That same year, we expanded our reach to serve communities across six states and six counties in Pennsylvania.
